Description: A complex project, to house the canoe-slalom games for Athens 2004 Olympic Games, constructed in the open space of the old Athens Airport Elliniko. The complex includes the following structures:
- Reinforced concrete buildings
- 600m long water channel
- 60m long, 5-span bridge
- 23m & 40m long wooden footbridges
- 2 conveyors belts
- Under- and above-ground pumping stations and water tanks
- Grandstands
- Retrofitting of existing RC building with concrete jacketing
“Pampelonisiako” National Stadium in Patras - Upgrade Projects
Client: MINISTRY OF INFRASTRUCTURE TRANSPORT AND NETWORKS OF GREECE
Budget: €45,000,000
Description: Patras National Stadium housed all football games during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. To cover the strict specifications, the existing stadium was upgraded to include a grandstands extension, new MEP installations and buildings to house them, steel roof over the western wing of the stadium, lighting towers and renovation of existing supporting buildings. The spectators’ seats were increased to 24,000. Constructed with the fast-track method, where design precedes construction by only a short time. Interesting features of the building are:
- Steel cantilever canopy of 20m,
- Prefabricated reinforced concrete grandstands on steel frame.
“Panipirotiko” Closed Gym Centre for the Muncipality of Ioanina
Client: PREFECTURE OF IOANNINA
Budget: €7,000,000
Description: A new ground floor building with grandstands and mezzanine floor which consists of 2 structurally independent RC structures. For the roof, a wooden arch structure was used. The total area is 4700m2. Strip foundation is used. Detail design.
New roof structure, locker rooms and grandstands for Egaleo Stadium
Client: MUNICIPALITY OF EGALEO
Budget: €6,000,000
Description: Four new grandstands sections from precast and reinforced concrete were designed. The total area is 1.500 m2. Moreover, a steel roof structure and a couple of support facilities buildings (locker rooms, warehouses etc.) from reinforced concrete were designed. Detail design.
«DOPING Control» Building and Renovation Projects at the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens
Client: MINISTRY OF CULTURE, GENERAL SECRETERY FOR ATHLETICISM
Budget: €9,000,000
Description:
a) A new RC 3-storey building (1 basement – 2 floors) and secondary steel structures. Strip foundation is used. The total area is 2.000 m2.
b) Renovation works for the existing grandstand and structural assessment of an existing building. Final & Detail design.
Olympic Training Centre in Dekelia

Budget: €13,200,000
Description: Design of a couple of reinforced concrete and steel structures for the operation of the Olympic training center. Final & Detail design.
Olympic Tennis Centre at the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens
Client: MINISTRY OF CULTURE, GENERAL SECRETERY FOR ATHLETICISM
Budget: €20,000,000
Description: Deign of all the RC and steel structures for the Olympic center. “Design - construction” scheme, Final design.
Closed Gym Centre for the National Technical University of Athens
Client: NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS
Budget: €11,000,000
Description: New RC buildings and a gym center with grandstands and a steel roof. The total area is 3,000m2. Strip foundation is used. Final design.
Closed Gym Centre for the Muncipality of Kalamata
Client: MUNICIPALITY OF KALAMATA
Budget: €5,000,000
Description: New gym center building, with grandstands and assisting areas from 8 structurally independent RC structures with a total area of 5.500 m2. Two steel roof structures of an area of 3.500 m2 and 400 m2 respectively. Culling layer of 1,25m height. Raft foundation and in some parts strip footings are used. Final design.
“Serafio” Athletic & Cultural Centre – Swimming Pool
Client: MUNICIPALITY OF ATHENS / YOUTH & SPORTS ASSOCIATION
Budget: €17,000,000
Description:
a) New sports building center with basement and grandstands from reinforced concrete and a steel roof of an area of 6.600 m2.
b) A 4-storey RC “Cultural center” building (1 basement – 3 floor levels), with a total area of 8.200 m2.
c) Three steel ladders
d) The design of a swimming pool and fire tanks. Strip foundation is used. Final design.
